Wisdom Warrior Challenge is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to inspire seniors to live an active, healthy lifestyle.

The Wisdom Warrior Challenge (WWC) is a FREE annual event for participants 50-100+ years old. The primary goals of the Wisdom Warrior Challenge are to promote physical activity and engagement and to debunk the myths about aging as related to the ability to remain active. 

 

This senior centric, all inclusive track event hosts separate divisions for those using a device such as a walker, cane, or self-propelled wheelchair. This completely free “box” event will provide everything you need to host a successful event. The athletes will be recognized for their place at their local event and for their overall standing for the nationwide challenge which includes all participating facilities. The community with the most points will hold the Wisdom Cup until the next annual event!​

The Wisdom Warrior Challenge (WWC) is a national event for senior adults aged 50 to 110 years old. The goal of this unique event is to promote physical activity, connection, and a sense of community while dispelling myths about aging and the ability to remain active.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, the WWC is FREE for all participating teams.

Individual teams will choose a date in March and April 2025 to host their event and hold training sessions throughout the months leading up to their main event. All athletes receive stocked swag bags, apparel, and most importantly, recognition for their performance at their local event with an awards ceremony!

At the conclusion of all the events, team scores will be submitted to rank the athletes for their overall performance and to recognize the overall winning team!

This celebration culminates with a final live-virtual National Awards Ceremony that is live-streamed across several platforms with all participating communities, fans, friends, and volunteers in virtual attendance to celebrate our fantastic super seniors!

WHY WE DO THIS!

The less we move, the more we put ourselves at risk for numerous detrimental and life-changing diseases, including heart disease, cancer, obesity, diabetes, and premature death. Scientific evidence consistently shows that physical activity is the best prescription for preventing and managing metabolic disorders.

Recent data indicates that over 40% of people aged 55 and over are inactive, compared to 29% of the general adult population. However, the good news is that the solution is within our control! By making positive lifestyle choices and staying active, we can take charge of our health and reduce the risk of these serious conditions.

 

Let’s use this evidence-based approach to improve our well-being and enjoy a healthier, more vibrant life.
